About Belize:

Belize is a small English speaking country located in Central America. To the east it's bordered by the Caribbean Sea, Mexico to the north and Guatemala to the west and south.

Belize boasts the largest living barrier reef in the world, spanning approximately 185 miles. In combination with the barrier reef Belize is home to 3 of the 4 atolls in the western hemisphere. This makes Belize one of the top destinations for water activities whether it be snorkeling along with Nurse Sharks and Stingrays at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, diving the Great Blue Hole like the famous Jacques Cousteau or flats fishing for the big 3 ; Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit. Belize has it all to offer.

Aside from the water activities Belize has a lot to offer  inland. Once a part of the ancient  Mayan World, Belize is scattered with 100s of Mayan ruins from the great city of Caracol in the Cayo district to the large trading center of Altun Ha. All accessible within a day by car.

The lush rainforests of Belize has great biodiversity with almost 600 species of birds, 145 species of mammals (mostly bats) and a host of reptiles and amphibians. The rivers that flow from western Belize through these rainforests offers a lot of fresh water swimming areas, whether it be at the rapids along the Belize River or one of the many waterfalls in Mountain Pine Ridge.

Belize is home to many unique cultures, the Creole, Maya, Mestizo, Garinagu, Mennonite are the major ethnic groups in Belize, but there are also smaller groups of East Indians, Chinese and a mixture of people from the middle east. Because of this wide diversity of cultures visitors to Belize can experience a wide range of food, dance, music and clothing.
